Eva Bahl is currently a Visiting Professor (with a focus on gender and postcolonial studies) at the Department of Development Studies at the University of Vienna. Previously, she was a post-doctoral researcher at the Center of Methods in Social Sciences at the University of Göttingen, where she was involved in various international research projects in the fields of migration, borders, and collective memories. Her dissertation, completed in 2020, examined memory practices and constructions of belonging in the Spanish border towns of Ceuta and Melilla. Other regional foci of her work include different regions in South and Central America and West Africa.
