Workshop: Palestine: Scenarios for the Future

The year 2018 marks the anniversary of critical and catastrophic developments in
Palestinian history: more than 50 years of the Israeli occupation of the West Bank, the 70th
anniversary of the Nakba and the 71st anniversary of the United Nations division of
Palestine.

The workshop intends to examine possible scenarios about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
A general overview of the concept of scenario construction will be presented, followed
then by a discussion of two main scenarios and sub-scenarios. 


Dr. Lourdes Habash is a Professor of Political Science and the director of the Ibrahim Abu
Lughod Institute of International Studies, Birzeit University, Palestine.
She graduated from Birzeit University with a Master in International Studies and holds a
PhD in political theory from Cairo University.
